ABOUT MY VISION FOR PHOTOGRAPHY
After a decade of working as a social worker, doing street outreach with the unhoused, mental health, and substance use communities, I started taking photos as a creative outlet. For the past 10 years, I have taught myself everything I know about photography. What started as a focus on fitness and fashion photography then moved towards a freelance career in storytelling through portrait photography. I am drawn to discovering the essence of each individual client and creating stunning images that provide each client with memorable pieces of art.
As a social worker and queer Maine photographer, my goal is to use my art to confront gender "norms", social issues, and inequality. I believe artists are here to disturb the peace. By embracing individuality and personal expression, I help each client to see their inner and outer beauty.
